IGP for ‘zero tolerance’ against drugs

Staff Correspondent: Declaring ‘zero tolerance’ against drugs, Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque asked police officials working in the field levels to take stern action against the spread of drugs in society.
The police chief urged the police officials to ensure treatment for the drug addicted people and take steps to rehabilitate them.
He also asked them to destroy the drugs recovered in various drives.
The IGP said this while speaking at the quarterly crime conference at the Police Headquarters in the capital on Monday.
