IS suspect among three held at RU

RU Correspondent: Leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Rajshahi University unit have handed over three students to police for their suspicious activities.

Of them, one was suspected to be a member of Islamic State (IS).

The suspects were handed over to police at Tukitaki premises of the university campus on Thursday afternoon.

The suspects are Zubayer Hossain, student of Marketing Department, Maksudul Haque of Department of Biochemistry and informatics and Al-Tawfiq of Geography and Environmental Department.

Confirming the news, Humayun Kabir, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Motihar Police Station, said BCL men handed over three militant suspects. They were brought to the police station. Legal steps would be taken after interrogation.
