IT Chief of ABT put on 5 days remand

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court put Ashfaqur Rahman alias Arif alias Anik, Information and Technology (IT) chief of banned Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) on a five-day remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Pranab Kumar Hui passed the order on Tuesday.

Investigation Officer (IO) Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit inspector SM Shahriar Hasan produced him before the court seeking ten days remand.

Earlier, on Monday night, acting on a tip off, police detained Ashfaqur Rahman alias Arif alias Anik from Vatara area in the capital. He is an IT specialist of ABT.
