IU question leak: Teacher suspended

Kushtia Correspondent: The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Monday suspended a teacher for his involvement in the leak of ‘F’ unit admission test question paper.

The decision was taken at a syndicate meeting headed by the Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Rashid Ashkari on Monday.

Proctor of the university Professor Dr Mahbubur Rahman said the authority suspended Associate Professor of the Mathematics Department M Nurul Isalm while, issued show cause notices to Mizanur Rahman, associate professor and chairman and Nurul Islam, assistant professor, of department of Mathematics.

Besides, the IU also expelled Monojit Kumar, a master’s student of the department, on the same charge and cancelled his graduation certificate.

The university cancelled the admission test of ‘F’ unit under Applied Science and Technology faculty for the academic year of 2016-2017.
