‘Immediate actions if someone creates sufferings on roads’

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia that steps will be taken immediately against those who will create sufferings on roads violating traffic rules.

He further said, “If the person is among prominent people of the society and he/she creates sufferings to people on roads, steps must be taken against him/her.”

He also urged politicians, business tycoons, bureaucrats and prominent people of the society not to violate traffic rules to bring back disciplines on roads.

DMP Commissioner came up with the statement while inaugurating traffic week (March 17-March 23) at Saarc Fountain at Sonargaon intersection in the capital’s Karwan Bazar area on Sunday noon.

Asaduzzaman said, “A massive development projects are running in the capital. So, many of the roads were dug due to the construction works of the projects. We are trying our best to give Dhaka commuters relieves from the sufferings caused by the projects. I request common people for their help and assistance and to carry out traffic rules.”
