Immigrants to get passports in 7 days

Staff Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said immigrants will get passports within seven days after they applied.

He said, "We are going to start this service very soon. A deal has already been signed in this regard with international courier agent FedEx."

The Minister came up with the disclosure while inaugurating Immigration and Passport Services Week at Agargaon office of Passport Directorate in the capital on Saturday noon.

Minister said, "Earlier passports were sent from Foreign Ministry which took two or three months. Now passports will be reached the concern embassy within three days if the deal is once materialised. Immigrants will get the passports at their hands in maximum seven days."
