Indecision over announcement of Oikyafront contenders

Senior Reporter: Jatiya Oikyafront is facing indecision over the announcement of final list of candidates for contesting in the upcoming general election.

Jatiya Oikyafront has postponed its Friday afternoon schedule of announcing the final list of candidates.

Jatiya Oikyafront leader Rafikul Islam Pothik said the announcement can come on Friday evening.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir Thursday told reporters that the final list of the alliance would be announced Friday.

He informed this after a meeting of the alliance’s election steering committee at Dr Kamal Hossain’s Motijheel chamber.

Fakhrul also announced that the Oikyafront would unveil its election manifesto on December 17.
