Inform us if report on extortion found: Home boss

Senior Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, “Immediate action will be taken if any report on extortion is found. No one will be spared in this regard.”

The minister made the comment while speaking at programme in the capital’s Karwan Bazar area on Tuesday.

“Earlier, people could not live in Karwan Bazar area in peace because people were often killed in broad daylight here. Businesspeople could not do their business out of fear. But situation has now changed. A business friendly atmosphere is prevailing here,” Kamal said.

Action will be taken immediately if any report on extortion is found, he added.

The minister also asked all to inform the administration about any sort of extortion.
