Injured Mustafizur ruled out of action for 2 weeks

Sports Correspondent: The team management usually allows injury-prone Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman to play matches after checking every issues.

Selectors had sent him to take rest after three ODIs and a single Test match against New Zealand. Even, he was not allowed to play IPL for better safety ahead of the World Cup. But, finally the speedster has been sidelined due to an injury on his left ankle. 

The cutter master suffered the injury during a warm-up session of his Dhaka League team Shinepukur Cricket Club on Wednesday.

He was in a good form taking three wickets on his return. But, he now has been forced to stay away for two weeks.  



However, the good news is –the injury is not serious. He will be able to play the upcoming world cup if everything goes well. 

Debashis Chowdhury, BCB chief physician said, "We went through an X-ray of his (Fiz) injured ankle. Everything is fine as per the report. But we want to go slowly and we suggested him to stay in rest for two weeks. "
