Injured RAB intelligence chief being sent to Singapore

Staff Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) intelligence Chief Lt. Col. Abul Kalam Azad who sustained serious injuries in a blast near a militant den in Sylhet, is being sent to Singapore for better treatment.

Assistant director of RAB’s legal and media wing Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to risingbd.com on Sunday.

Abul Kalam Azad is currently undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka in critical condition.

Earlier on Saturday evening, six people including two cops were killed and several others injured as two powerful bombs went off at separate places near 'Atia Mahal', the militant den at Shibbari of the district's Dakkhin Surma upazila.
