Inspiration to struggle against exploitation and deprivation

Today is May Day. The glorious day is observed with a pledge to establish the rights of workers.

On May 1, 1886, 10 workers were killed when police opened fire on a demonstration in the US city of Chicago near Hay Market demanding an eight-hour working day instead of a 12-hour shift.

On the height of agitation, the authorities had to accept the workers’ demand and the eight-hour day has been introduced universally.

Later, on July 14, 1889 in Paris, an international workers’ rally declared May 1 as the International Workers Solidarity Day in recognition of the Chicago workers’ sacrifice and achievement and since 1890, the day has been observed globally as the International Workers Solidarity Day.

Since, the day, also known as International Workers’ Solidarity Day, is being observed elsewhere across the world.

We offer the struggling salute to the workers of the world including those in Bangladesh on the day.

The day is now not only for the workers, it is has been universal.  The day has developed the socialist spirit across the world. The achievement of the day is undeniable in case developing humanitarian in capitalism.  Now capitalists acknowledge that it is not possible to develop the capitalism fairly through cheating the workers or exploiting and oppressing them.

The day has come with the desire for the liberation of the working people from deprivation and exploitation throughout the world.

Observing the day will be success when the workers will get fair wages and Safe workplace.

The owners should realize that profit cannot be earned through cheating the workers or depriving them. It is very needed to maintain a fair and good relationship between the workers and owners for the sake of the development of the country.

We expect the termination of tendency to exploit and deprive the workers. We also desire of ensuring minimum wages for them to lead their life with the basic demands respectfully.

Finally we mention that the rights and interests of the workers will obviously be maintained once the Labour Law is materialized properly.
