'Interference in FF quota is tantamount to court contempt'

Secretariat Correspondent: Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque said there is an order of the court over the quota of freedom fighter. The interference in this sector would be tantamount to court contempt.

The minister made the assertion while addressing a press conference at his secretariat office in the capital on Wednesday noon.

He said according to the verdict of appeal division of Supreme Court there is a obligation to preserve 30 percent freedom fighter quota.

"So, there is no scope to take different decision in this regard. I think that would be court of contempt", he said. 

He also said that the quota review committee will take their decision carefully in this issue.
