Interim govt likely to be formed in October: Muhith

Special Correspondent: Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Wednesday hinted that the interim government may be formed in the middle of October since the next parliamentary polls will be held in December this year.

The minister made the comment while briefing journalists after the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGC) meeting at the Cabinet Division in the city.

Responding to a question, Muhith said, “I don’t know about the time of the formation of the interim government. But I think it may be formed in the middle of October since the national election will be held in December and I might be a Cabinet member in that government.”
