Inu for forming 9th wage board soon

Parliament Correspondent: Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said that ninth wage board will be formed soon for journalists.

The minister made the comment while replying to a supplementary question of Whip Md Shahabuddin in 15^th session of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) on Sunday.

Inu said, “A committee led by Justice Md Nizamul Haque has already been formed with an aim to increase the wage for the journalists. No names of representatives in favour of owners were given yet to the committee. The ninth wage board will be formed with the participation of owners, journalists and workers in accordance with the price of present market after getting the names of representatives from the owners.”

He said, “Both the owners and workers will have to take steps in implementing the wage board. The work of the government is just to act as a go-between. However, the ninth wage board will be formed soon after adjustment with the owners.”
