‘It does not need to declare Independence after 7 March speech’

Staff Correspondent: Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan said it does not need to proclaim Independence anew after Bangabandhu’s 7 March speech as anti-liberation force is still hatching conspiracy to make the real history of the Liberation War controversial.

The minister came up with remark while speaking at the inaugural session of the Independence Day at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in the capital’s Bailey Road on Tuesday.

Remembering the supreme sacrifice of the Liberation War heroes, the railways minister said, “A vested quarter is trying to distort the real history of our Liberation War. We have to be conscious about them.”

“The new generation will have to inform the real history of our Liberation War in order to build Bangladesh properly. They will build ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman,” he added.
