It will be a tough series against Bangladesh: Herath

Sport Desk: Sri Lankan cricketer Rangana Herath will lead his against against Bangladesh in the Tests, while prolific domestic left-arm spinner Malinda Pushpakumara joins him in the squad.

The skipper said, "It will be a tough series against Bangladesh. But I am sure the guyz will do their best and I am really confident on my team."

We have been doing well in practice. That’s why I am telling that I am confident. Some Guyz played the practice game, Dimuth Karunaratne and Dinesh Chandimal, and they got back to their form. So I am happy with that.

"They have come back to good form, specially Dimuth and Chandi. So I sure they will do their best."

Upul Tharanga will batting at top order and we have not decided on best eleven yet. We will decide it on may be today evening or tomorrow morning.

"Last time we played against Bangladesh in Galle, they scored some runs and we scored some runs as well. Mushfiq scored 200 and Ashraful scored 190. But later in Colombo Test we played really well and won the match. Even that confidence I have with my team at the moment," he added.
