JMB had plans for fresh sabotage in Dhaka

Staff Correspondent: Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), one of the banned militant outfits, had taken plans to carry out fresh sabotage in the capital Dhaka.

For this, a six to seven member-team of JMB arrived in Dhaka recently.

 Lt Col Anwaruzzaman, captain of Rab-2, came up with the disclosure in briefing at RAB media center of the capital Karwan Bazar on Tuesday noon.

He said, "The information was found after arrest of two JMB men from Tejgaon area. The other members of the team, however, managed to flee."

The arrestees were known as Nuruzzaman Labu, 39, and Nazmul Islam Shaon, 26.

Two machetes, extremist books, 724 US dollars and other materials were seized from their processions, he added.
