JP holds meeting with EC

Staff Correspondent: The Jatiya Party (JP) is holding a meeting with Election Commission (EC) centering the upcoming general election.

The meeting started at Nirbachon Bhaban around 11:00am on Wednesday.

A 16-member delegation led by former president and Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Mohammad Ershad joined the meeting.

EC sources said Chief Election Commissioner K M Nurul Huda fixed the time for today's meeting following Jatiya Party’s request. 

Chief Election Commissioner K M Nurul Huda, Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukdar, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Begum Kabita Khan, Brigadier General (Retd) Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury and Election Commission secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed joined the meeting.
