Janata Bank recruitment test cancelled

Staff Correspondent: The High Court (HC) cancelled the written examination, held on April 21 last year, for the recruitment of executive officers of Janata Bank following the allegation of question paper leak.

An HC bench of Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury and Justice Md Iqbal Kabir passed the order on Thursday.

The court also directed the authorities concerned to arrange the examination again for the appointment to the same post as soon as possible.

Barrister Jotirmoy Borua, Advocate Suprokash Dutta and Ripon Barua moved for the petitioner while Additional Attorney General Momtaz Uddin Fakir stood for the state.

Earlier on May 22, 2017, the High Court issued a rule over the case.

The HC direction came up following a writ petition filed by 15 candidates for the post challenging the legality of holding the examination on April 21 last year.
