Jhut godown catches fire in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent: A fire broke out at a jhut (garment rags) godown in Konabari Ambag area of Gazipur city on Saturday.
Gazipur Fire Service and Civil Defence Deputy Assistant Director Akhtaruzzaman said that the fire originated in a jhut godown named Halim Jhut around 3:00pm and spread to the adjacent areas.
On information, four fire service units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after half an hour effort.
The extent of loss caused by the fire could not be estimated immediately.
