‘Kader Khan used to train killers’

Gaibandha Correspondent: Former lawmaker Abdul Kader Khan is the mastermind behind the killing of Gaibandha MP Manzurul Islam Liton, police claimed.

Khandakar Golam Faruk, deputy inspector general of police (DIG) of Rangpur range, came up with the claim at a press briefing held at Gaibandha police superintendent’s office on Wednesday evening.

Referring to the continuity of Kader Khan’s plan for killing Liton, the DIG said Kader Khan spent a year planning to kill Liton but failed. After being elected as the lawmaker, he used his power and convinced snatchers Mehedi, Shahin, Rana and Hannan to kill Liton in exchange of money. Kader Khan himself gave arms training to them for last six months.

Among the four who took part in the MP Liton killing, Rana is on the run, Golam Faruk said.

Rana will be arrested at any time, he added.
