Kalyan Party Secretary General lands in jail

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Kalyan Party Secretary General MM Aminur Rahman has been sent to jail after third phase remand.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sadbir Yasir Ahsan Chowdhury passed the order rejecting his bail plea on Tuesday.

Earlier, Sub-Inspector Abu Jafar of DB police produced him before the court after the third time remand and sought jail term until the probe ends.

Meanwhile, lawyer Abdur Rauf Mia sought bail petition in the case. Later, the court sent him to jail after hearing.

On December 23, Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Bangladesh Kalyan Party Secretary General MM Aminur Rahman nearly four months after he reportedly went missing in August. Later, he was shown arrested in a case filed in 2015.
