Keya Yarn MD arrested for embezzling Tk 111cr

Staff Correspondent: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) arrested the managing director (MD) of Keya Yarn Mills Ltd in a case filed over allegedly embezzling Tk 111.14 crore from Bangladesh Krishi Bank.

The arrestee is Abdul Khaleq Pathan.

ACC Deputy Director Shamsul Alam arrested him from the capital's Segunbagicha area on Sunday.

ACC's Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to risingbd.

He said Abdul Khaleq Pathan withdrew the money from Kawran Bazar branch of the bank and misappropriated it.

ACC Deputy Director Shamsul Alam filed a case against eight person including Pathan with Tejgaon Police Station in this connection, he said.
