Khaleda Zia is sound in jail; says IG Prisons

Staff Correspondent: Inspector General of Prisons Brig Gen Syed Iftekhar Uddin said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is healthy and sound in jail. She is being given all facilities as per the jail code.

He said, "She (Khaleda Zia) is normal and healthy.  She is being checked up by physicians. Alongside, we are keeping eyes on her so that she does not face any problem here."

He said, "Prisoners will be able to talk to relatives from jail. It will be launched at Tangail district jail from March 8 experimentally. The step is taken to keep prisoners fit mentally."
