Khaleda jailed in graft case: Home Minister

Senior Correspondent: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been convicted in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. She is confined in the case. She has not been shown arrested in any other case.

The Home Boss came up with the clarification to the reporters at his secretariat office on Tuesday noon.

Earlier, media reported that Khaleda Zia was shown arrested in three more cases.

Home Minister said, "Khaleda Zia was not shown arrested in the warrants issued against her. A wrong message was spread in this regard. She is confined in the case only she was convicted."

In reply to a query, Home Boss said, "Two more Production Warrants (PW) were issued against her. She will appear before the court concerned on time. We have nothing to do in this regard. She is also currently on bail in the two cases."
