Khaleda joins Suhrawardy rally

SK Reza, Ahmed Nur from Suhrawardy Udyan: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has joined the rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.

Khaleda arrived at the venue around 3:15pm where thousands of people, including party leaders and activists, gathered there on Sunday.  

Earlier, the rally began at about 1:30pm with recitation from the holy Quran. Later, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal President Rajib Ahsan gave his opening speech in the rally.

Leaders and activists of the party have started gathering at the venue in small processions since noon.

Mohammadpur ward no-33 Chhatra Dal convener Sakibul Hossain told risingbd.com that the transport service in the capital was stopped from this morning in a planned way so that BNP men can't join the rally.

"There is no vehicle in my area. So, we are moving to the rally venue by walking," he added.
