'Khaleda to appear in person if she gets bail'

Staff Correspondent: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will appear before the court concerned in Zia Charitable Trust case if the High Court (HC) grants bail to her in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.

Khaleda's lawyers Abdur Rezzak Khan and Khandaker Mahbub Hossain told this to Judge Md Akhtaruzzaman of the Special Court-5 in Dhaka on Sunday.

Sunday was fixed for arguments in Zia Charitable Trust case. On the day around 11:06am, legal procedures started in the court.

BNP Chairperson's lawyer Sanaullah Mia filed two petitions with the court seeking extension of her bail in the case, after informing that Khaleda Zia has been confined in jail in another case.
