Khaleda's 14 cases shifted to Bakshibazar court

Secretariat Correspondent: Fourteen cases filed against BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia have been shifted to the makeshift court in Bakshibazar area of Dhaka.

The law ministry has issued gazette notification in this regard on Monday.

According to the notifications, the ministry took the decision to hold the trial proceedings of all the cases against Khaleda Zia in a single court considering the security measures.

The cases were filed against the BNP chief with the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court of Dhaka.

The cases include eight sabotage cases filed with Darus Salam Police Station, Gatco graft case, Niko graft case, Barapukuria coal mine graft case, a case filed with Jatrabari Police Station under special act and two defamation cases.
