Staff Correspondent: The full bench of the Supreme Court on Wednesday will hear the petition of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) against a High Court (HC) verdict that granted bail to BNP Chief Khaleda Zia.
Appellate Division Chamber Judge Justice Hasan Fayez Siddique fixed the date on Tuesday noon.
Khaleda's another lawyer Zainul Abedin, also the Supreme Court Bar Association president, and senior lawyer AJ Mohammad Ali moved for Khaleda Zia while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam stood for the state.
Earlier this morning, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the state filed two petitions seeking a stay order on the bail granted to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
On Monday, the BNP chief got bail for four months in the case in which she was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment.
