Khaleda’s treatment begins

Staff Correspondent: The treatment of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has started at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital since Wednesday.
Additional Director of BSMMU Dr Nazmul Karim Manik confirmed the news.
He said, “Khaleda’s treatment started form Wednesday noon. Later, medical board formed in this regard met her at the afternoon.”
“The medical team visited her around 4:00pm and stayed there for an hour. They gave her physio-therapy after observing her condition,” he added.
BNP chief Khaleda was sentenced for five years in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on February 8. Since, he has been in the old Dhaka Central jail. On October 6, she was taken to BSMMU hospital in line with a High Court (HC) order.
