Khulna University teacher suspended for sexual harassment

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: Professor Dr. Sharif Uddin of Mathematic Discipline of Khulna University has permanently been suspended for sexually harassing a female student.

The decision was revealed by an office order on Thursday.

University sources said a female student of the department brought sexually harassment allegation against Sharif Uddin. The committee formed for looking into the allegation found him guilty and recommended to suspend him.

Later, the university authorities took the decision at the 192th syndicate meeting on Wednesday.

Acting registrar of the university Professor Dr. Sarder Shafiqul Islam confirmed the news of suspension.
