Killers of MP Liton will be arrested anytime: IGP

Staff Correspondent, Savar: Inspector General of Police AKM Shahidul Hoque has said the killers of Gaibandha Awami League lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton have been identified and they will be arrested anytime.

The police chief said this while talking to the journalists after inauguration of the construction work of a multi-storied barrack and an arms depot of the Industrial Police at Ashulia on Monday.

“The investigation into the murder case has advanced further. The persons who came on the motorcycle are under watch. They will be arrested soon,” he said.

Gaibandha-1 constituency lawmaker from the ruling party, Liton was killed after unknown assailants opened fire on him inside his home at Sundarganj on December 31.
