Law Minister to brief media Sunday

Staff Correspondent: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq has called a press conference to give his formal reaction about the speech of Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha.

The press conference will be held at 11:30pm on Sunday at the conference room of the Ministry.

The ministry's Public Relations Officer Dr Md Rezaul Karim confirmed the matter on Saturday afternoon.

Earlier, the minister said, "I will not say anything separately today. Formal briefing will be held on Sunday."

On Friday night, Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha said that he is not sick.

“I am completely well, but I am really embarrassed at the way political quarters, lawyers and specially several honourable ministers and the prime minister personally criticised me centering a verdict recently,” the chief justice said in a written statement.
