Libel case filed against Imran H Sarker

Staff Correspondent: A defamation was filed against Imran H Sarker, the spoke person of Gonojagoron Mancha, with Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court.

Golam Rabbani, Eduction and textbook affairs secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), on Wednesday filed the case for derogatory slogans against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from a procession brought in protest of statue removal from the Supreme Court premises.

After recording the complaint's statement, Judge SM Masud Zaman took the case in cognisance and ordered Imran to appear before the court on July 16.

Noman Hossain Talukdar, lawyer of Golam Rabbani, confirmed the news.
