Parliament Correspondent: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal revealed a list of top 20 loan defaulters at the Jatiya Sangsad on Thursday.
According to the minister, six state-owned banks have defaulted Tk 44,189 crore 13 lakh till September 30, 2018. The spree of financial disclosure was a response to a written query by MP Haji Mohammad Selim.
Sonali Bank is in the top position while Janata Bank limited in second place, according to the list.
The minister also said that various types of steps have been taken already to reduce the defaulted loan.
