Listed criminal shot dead in Khulna

Staff Correspondent: A listed criminal named Mirajul Islam alias Maruf Hossain alias Garu Maruf was shot dead by miscreants on Tuesday night.
The incident took place at around 10:30 pm on Tuesday in Kartikkul Balur ground area of the city’s Daulatpur. Police recovered a pistol, a pipe gun, a round of bullet and 54 pieces of yaba from the spot.
Maruf was the son of Abdul Gafur Sheikh at Deara village under Dhighulia upazila.
Daulatpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kazi Mostak Ahmed confirmed the matter.
The OC said miscreants shot him dead and being informed police recovered the dead body.
According to police, he was accused in several cases including murder of UP Chairman Gazi Abdul Halim.
