Entertainment Desk: Veteran lyricist, dramatist and film producer Kazi Aziz Ahmed died at the age of 80.
He breathed his last at 9:00am on Tuesday at the house of his elder daughter Kazi Banna Ahmed in Sherpur.
Musfiqur Rahman Gulzar, president of Bangladesh Film Director’s Association, confirmed this to risingbd.com.
He will be buried on his family graveyard in the capital’s Jurain after namaz-e-janaza.
Born in 1939, the lyricist had been suffering from old-age complications for a long time.
Kazi Aziz Ahmed is the lyricist of ‘Chokh Je Moner Kotha Bole”, a famous Bangla song and he stepped into the world of film in 1962 as an assistant director of his debuting movie ‘Dui Diganta’. Later, he directed two more films including ‘Chokher Jole’.
