Madrasa boy beaten to death in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A madrasa student was beaten to death in Nadatul Ummah Hafezi Madrasa in Katwali thana area of the district town.

The deceased was identified as Shahriar Alam, 12.

Sub-Inspector (ASI) Alauddin Talukdar of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Police Outpost said the Madrasa student was taken to emergency department of the hospital yesterday night. Later, the duty doctor declared him dead.

Victim's aunt Sharmin Aktar complained, the Madrasa authority informed them that her niece is ill. Later, he was rushed to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

"Lots of injury marks were found in body of the victim. Shahriar was beaten to death," she claimed.
