Main Eid jamaat held at National Eidgah

Staff Correspondent: The main Eid jamaat (congregation) of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr was held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises in the city at 8:30am on Wednesday.

Baitul Mukarram National Mosque’s Senior Pesh Imam Maulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman conducted the congregation at the ground.

Avoiding heavy rain, thousands of Muslim devotees joined the Eid jamaat.

President Abdul Hamid, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, cabinet members, government high-ups, diplomats and non-government officials, among others, attended the Eid prayers.

A total of five Eid jamaat are scheduled to hold at National mosque Baitul Mukarram. The first Eid jamaat took place at 7:00am.
