Main jamaat held at National Eidgah

Senior Correspondent: The main Eid-ul-Azha jamaat (congregation) was held at National Eidgah in the capital at 8:00am on Wednesday.

President Abdul Hamid, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and many other high-ups of the state offered their eid prayers at National Eidgah, near the premises of the High Court (HC).

Besides, cabinet members, justices of the Supreme Court (SC), lawmakers, politicians and many foreign Muslims who staying here and diplomats from different countries attended the congregation.

Senior Pesh Imam of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Mufti Maulana Muhammad Ehsanul Huq administered the Eid Jamaat. After the jamaat, he offered prayers seeking well-being for the nation.

After Eid prayers, President Abdul Hamid exchanged greetings with all. General people were also seen to exchange eid greetings each other.

Devotees started to gather National Eidgah to attend prayers since the morning. Children, youths and elderly people in cap and punjabi joined the Eid jamaat.

Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies took sever-tier security measures to ensure peaceful Eid congregation at National Eidgah.
