Man arrested with Tk 2 lakh fake notes

Staff Correspondent: Detectives arrested a man along with Tk 2 lakh forge notes conducting a drive at Mogbazaar railgate area of the capital on Thursday night.

The arrestee was identified as Jahangir Alam.

Masudur Rahman, Chief of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media wing, confirmed the news to risingbd on Friday noon.

He said he was arrested acting on secret information. A case has been filed with the local police station in this regard.

Jahangir is a professional fake note trader. He take the field in a bid to supply fake notes at various cattle markets in the capital on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha, he added.
