Man gets death in Gazipur murder case

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: A Gazipur court has sentenced a man to death and two others were awarded life-term imprisonment in the case of Tongi hospital worker Amir Hossain Riku murder.
Judge AKM Enamul Haque of Gazipur District and Sessions Judge Court passed the order on Monday.
The court also fined Tk 10,000 for the death row convict while Tk 5,000 for the other two each.
The death row convict is known as Al-Amin, son of Shahjahan Fakir and hailed from Polashpur village of Barisal Kotwali Police Station.
Other two who were sentenced life-term are known as Roky alias Rakib, son of Ajgar Ali of Morkun Tekparha of Tongi, and Kakon alias Kalon, son of Fozu Mia of Brahmanbaria's Kasba Police Station.
Deceased Amir was identified as son of Abdul Kaiyum of Brahmanbaria's Kathalia village under Nabinagar upazila. He used to live at Gopalpur Pashimpur of Tongi and worked at Regent Hospital of the capital Uttara.
