Man killed as bus hits at Paltan

Staff Correspondent: A man was killed as a bus hit while crossing road near Jonaki cinema hall of the capital's Paltan around 6:00am on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Md Jasim Mia, 50, son of Montu Mia and hailed from Feni. He owns a tea-stall at Paltan.
Wahiduzzaman, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Paltan Police Station, said Jasim was critically injured as bus hit him while crossing the road in the morning. His wife Kohinoor Begum took him to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) immediately where attending doctors declared him dead.
Bachchu Mia, Sub-Inspector (SI) of DMCH police outpost, confirmed the death.
