Man to die for murdering in Chandpur

Chandpur Correspondent: A court in Chandpur convicted a man and sentenced him to death for killing a man named Mokbul Hossain, 50, in Puran Bazar area of the district in 2013.

Chandpur additional district and session judge passed the order on Monday noon.

The convict is- Lutfar Rahman, son of Abdur Rahman.

The court also sentenced life term imprisonment to another man named Sujon Khan.

According to the case statement, on January, 26, 2013, the convicts entered into the house of businessman Mokbul around 10:00pm and slaughtered him. At one stage, hearing hue and cry, patrol police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and a knife.

Later, victim's brother Abul Hossain filed a murder case mentioning the names of the two people.
