Marcel brings 43 models of LED TV centering Football World Cup

Economic Reporter: The local electronics and electrical appliances manufacturer ‘Marcel’ is showcasing and selling out total of 43 models of LED televisions in the local market centering the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and Football World Cup.

On the occasion of the two giant events, the local brand set a target of selling out three times more number of televisions in the month of this Ramadan than those of the previous Ramadan.

To meet the target, Marcel increased the production of LED televisions in its own factory in Chandra, Gazipur. In addition, they released Smart, Full HD and Bluetooth speakers based ‘Boom Box’ televisions in the local market to attract the customers.

The traders said, the sales of the Marcel televisions have been already jumped up in the local market on the occasion of the forthcoming Eid and Football World Cup. Both the demands and the sales of Marcel TV would be soared in the coming days.

Marcel authorities said, they have undertaken massive preparations few months earlier considering the possible hike of demands of LED televisions centering the two giant events.

Along with the increased of televisions production, they brought diversity in the design and the colour of their televisions.

Centering the Football World Cup, Marcel is offering a tour to America and Russia or free fridge, TV and AC or sure cash discounts up to Tk 1,000 on the digital registration of Marcel TV, which is being purchased during the period of April 1 to June 30, 2018.

According to the sales representatives of Marcel televisions, they released 43 eye-catching models of 19, 20, 24, 28, 32, 39, 40, 43, 49 and 55-inch televisions with HD, Full HD and Smart technologies.

In addition, the Bluetooth-enriched two pair speakers based Marcel ‘Boom Box’ TV with silver and black colour was gaining huge customers’ popularity, they said.


Among the 43 models, each of the 24-inch and the 32-inch Marcel LED TV has the 10 models, of which 7 models are of black colour and the rest 3 models of silver colour. Besides, 3 models are available in 28-inch LED TV.

Dr. Md. Shakhwat Hossen, marketing head of Marcel, said that sales of their televisions from the beginning of the current year were beyond satisfactory. In every month of the current year, they registered 100 percent growth in the sales of televisions compared to the sales in the corresponding month of the previous year, he said.

In this Ramadan, they targeted to post three times more sales of their televisions than the previous Ramadan’s sales, saying it he added that they are manufacturing and marketing world-class televisions in accordance with the purchasing power of all classes of people.

He noted that the sales of locally made televisions in the domestic market are better than those of the foreign brands as the local brands are manufacturing world-class televisions and selling them at reasonable prices.

According to Marcel, they are offering six months replacement warranty, along with two years spare parts warranty and five years free post sales service facilities, in Marcel televisions.  They are delivering swift and best after sales services to their televisions’ clients through its nationwide service points under the ISO certified service management system.
