Milton Ahmed: One of the country’s leading electronics and electrical appliances manufacturers ‘Marcel’ kicked off its latest initiative of registering its sold products across the country with the aim of further improving and making its post sales services more swift and faster.

To turn the campaign into successful programme through ensuring customers’ participation, Marcel also offered different valued cash vouchers on product’s registration. Under the offer, the registered customers who will purchase minimum or above Tk 10,000 worth of product from any Marcel outlets will get cash vouchers, ranging from Tk 300 to Tk 1,00,000. Every day, Tk 3.5 lakh worth of cash vouchers will be offered to the customers across the country during the period of 8 October to 31 December of 2017.

Marcel officials announced the offer at a ‘Declaration Programme’ at the conference room of its corporate head office in the capital on Sunday (8th October, 2017).

The declaration programme was attended, among  others, by Company’s Executive Director SM Zahid Hasan, Senior Additional Director Md. Shahjada Salim, First Senior Additional Director Mofizur Rahaman, First Senior Deputy Director and Marketing Head (North) Mosharof Hossain Razib, and Deputy Director and Marketing Head (South) Dr Md. Shakhawat Hossen.

Mosharof Hossain Razib said the ‘Registration Campaign’ was launched with the offer of cash voucher to encourage customers' participation in the program, as in some cases, they are reluctant to register their purchased appliances. The registration initiative will not only improve and faster the post sales services but also increase customers trust on Marcel.

Dr Md. Shakhawat Hossen said, details of the purchased products including the name of customer, contact number and the model of the product would be kept and stored on a server. To this extent, Marcel dedicated a web page (http://support.marcelbd.com) which would help customers to get swift after sales service easily and they would be able to see the status of the product from online.

Mofizur Rahaman said, “Just after the registration, the respective customer would get an SMS or message with the amount of cash voucher they received under the offer. The customers will be able to buy Marcel products equivalent to the cash voucher received or they can adjust the cost of cash voucher when buying high priced products.

SM Zahid Hasan said, the registration campaign and the three-month-long cash voucher programme would take the country's digital service sector forward. This program will help us to understand the requirements and opinions of customers better, he added.
