Maritime ports asked to hoist signal 3

Risingbd Desk: Maritime ports in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to hoist local cautionary signal no three as the low over north bay and adjoining area has intensified into a well-marked low over Northwest Bay and adjoining West Bengal-Odisha Coast.

It is likely to intensify further and move in a North/North-Westerly direction, said a Met office bulletin on Thursday.

According to met office, “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places in Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at a few places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the
country during the period”.
