Staff Correspondent: Militant Marzan's sister Khadiza has surrendered after a 15-hour standoff with police in Jessore.

Khadiza along with her two daughters and a son came out from the residence this afternoon and surrendered before the law enforcers. Khadiza's father Nizam Uddin and mother entered into the house to talk with her previously.

Earlier, the law enforcers urged Khadiza, sister of slain militant Marzan, to surrender from the militant den which had been cordoned off from Sunday late night.

Ajmal Huda, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jessore Kotwali Police Station told reporters, "Responding to our call, Khadiza surrendered. She came out from the house after talking with her parents."

Nayemur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Jessore, said the house was cordoned off on basis of information provided by SWAT. It is guessed that militants are staying inside the house. People including journalists are bared to enter the area.

Haidar Ali, owner of the house, also teacher of Jessore district school, said one Moshiur Rahman hailed from Kushtia rented the house. He identified himself as a worker of a herbal company.
