Mehidy removes Roy for 153

Sports Desk: Sports Desk: Mehedi Hasan Miraz removed Jason Roy who hit 153 runs off 121 balls with 14 fours and 5 sixes.

Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza broke the England’s dangerous opening stand of Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy in their third match of World Cup.

The duo stitched a quickfire 128-run stand for the opening wicket.

Bairstow returned after a brilliant fifty. He scored 51 runs off 50 balls with 6 fours.

Mashrafe has broken through - back of a length and angling across the right-hander, Bairstow was looking to tuck it to the on-side, closed the bat-face early and the leading edge popped to the left of cover-point.

Mehidy had a lot of distance to cover and then had to throw himself at the ball. He does so and plucks a fine catch - just inches above the turf.

The match started at 3:30pm (Bangladesh time) at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff in England on Saturday.
