Microbus plunges into Hatirjheel lake, driver hurt

Staff Correspondent: A microbus plunged into Hatirjheel Lake in the city breaking the railing of a bridge on Saturday morning.
Driver of the microbus was injured in the incident.
Officer-in-Charge of Hatirjheel Thana Abu Mohammad Fazlul Karim said a microbus plunged into Hatirjheel Lake breaking the railing of a bridge as the driver lost control over it. Only driver was in the car. He managed to come out of the vehicle and swim ashore. He was admitted to a hospital.
Ershad Hossain, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters, on information, two fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and pulled out the sunken vehicle around 10.00am.
